I attended Bishop Kelley High School and was a four year letterman in football and wrestling.

I took a wrestling scholarships to The USAF Academy Prep School for a year then Missouri State with my brother, and graduated with  a BS in Psychology and Minor in Biology.

I taught science in the Tulsa Public School System for over 30 years, and coached wrestling and soccer for most of that time.

In 1981 I finished my Masters in guidance and counseling but chose to stay in the classroom where I could interact with 150 young minds every day. By the time I retired I had attained 122 class hours beyond my masters.

Since retiring most of my time has been spent interacting with my 18 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, and placing and hosting foreign exchange students.

My wife and I are the Oklahoma Regional Directors for EF High School Exchange Year. That job has allowed us to travel abroad and interact with families around the world.

In 2015 I was honored by being inducted into the Bishop Kelly Athletic Hall of Fame.
